InternationalRecently the Rotary Club in Brisbane saved a large load of wheelie walkers (15 cubic metres) from the scrap heap and offered them to where they could be used. The volunteers from the United Apostolic Volunteers Foundation transported them from Brisbane to Townsville to Tropical Equipment Solutions, a company specialising in repairs ready for distribution by Occupational Therapists between Mossman and Mackay to needy people to assist them to become mobile again. Project Love & Care
This organisation’s purpose is to provide Care Kits to children and young people when they are first placed in emergency foster care. The UAVF provides monthly financial assistance and volunteers to assist. Further information can be found at www.projectloveandcare.com

Burnett River Floods
The UAVF raised money from donations kindly provided by individuals, and distributed cash and goods to those in need in Bundaberg, Gayndah, Mundubbera and Eidsvold, including direct financial assistance for Blazeaid volunteers who greatly assisted rural communities to rebuild, see www.blazeaid.com.au

Qld drought relief
During the first quarter of 2017, further aid has been provided to those suffering the effects of drought, through the donation and delivery of hay bales. The price of stock feed is beyond the financial reach of many who are drought-affected, and the hay was gratefully received by many in the bush. Community Assistance Projects
June 2017 – Donation of Blankets to Caboolture Community Action Group Volunteers from the Caboolture region delivered around 60-70 blankets to the Caboolture Community Action Group during the second quarter of 2017. Blankets were then handed out to those in need in preparation for the colder winter months. We would like to thank all those who donated time and resources to this local community project.
