Local Fundraisers - Sausage Sizzles

From the Great South East to the Far North, our volunteers regularly host Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings to raise funds for local charitable causes. On Saturday 5th April the Townsville community came together to host their first Bunnings sausage sizzle in support of the UAVF at Domain Central. We were Blessed with a fine start to the day after months of monsoon rains. True Tropical North Queensland conditions were hot and humid and short heavy rain showers in the afternoon. Despite this over 750 customers were hungry for a snag and cold beverages. Overall just over 65kg or 900 sausages and 16kg of onions were BBQ`ed.

Proceeds of the day will be directed to local charities, Orange Sky and NQ Food Relief. Thanks to the locals for a great effort.
